India’s spiritual heritage took centre stage on World Meditation Day 2026 as Raseshwari Devi announced new projects dedicated to expanding awareness around meditation and yogic practices rooted in traditional Indian philosophy.
The announcements include a Mega Meditation Camp in Haridwar and the development of a large meditation facility near Tangi in Odisha’s Khurda district. According to organizers, the meditation hall will accommodate more than 1,500 people and serve as a venue for yoga training, meditation retreats, cultural programs, and spiritual education initiatives.
Meditation has increasingly become part of global conversations around wellness and emotional health, but Indian philosophical traditions have historically understood meditation as a complete system of inner discipline. Ancient scriptures such as the Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita describe meditation as a path toward clarity, self-awareness, and spiritual awakening. Representatives of Braj Gopika Seva Mission stated that the newly announced projects aim to preserve these teachings while making them accessible to modern audiences.
Raseshwari Devi Ji has worked extensively in the field of devotional teaching and meditation awareness for over three decades. Her outreach includes spiritual discourses, meditation camps, educational workshops, and youth-development initiatives. Programs conducted under her guidance often focus on practical spirituality, emotional discipline, and balancing material responsibilities with spiritual growth.
The upcoming Mega Meditation Camp in Haridwar is expected to witness participation from nearly 2,500 seekers representing 14 Indian states along with international attendees. Sessions will include meditation instruction, devotional discussions, and workshops on integrating meditation into everyday life.
Born in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, Raseshwari Devi Ji later embraced monastic life after completing higher education in Mathematics and English Literature. A disciple of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, she continues to lead spiritual and social initiatives focused on meditation awareness, youth engagement, devotional philosophy, and community welfare.
