Applications open for Pravaha’s ₹5 crore fully funded postgraduate fellowship for 50 graduates

The inaugural one-year residential Fellowship will begin in Vaishali in August 2027. Applications are open nationally, with a preference for candidates from Bihar.

Patna, 25 August 2026: Pravaha has opened applications for the inaugural cohort of its postgraduate Fellowship, offering 50 graduates and early-career professionals fully funded places backed by a ₹5 crore scholarship commitment.

The one-year residential programme will begin at Pravaha’s campus in Loma, Vaishali, in August 2027, with scholarships covering academics, residence and student life for all 50 Fellows.

Designed for a workplace increasingly shaped by technology and AI, the Fellowship combines business, data, artificial intelligence, design and leadership with practical projects, mentorship and intensive career preparation. Applications are open nationally, with a preference for candidates from Bihar.

Learning built around the future of work

The Fellowship will deliver 1,200 contact hours across 45 weeks and four terms, combining classroom learning with projects, labs, studios, writing workshops and leadership simulations.

The curriculum is designed around capabilities increasingly valued across organisations, including analytical judgement, financial literacy, communication, technology fluency, problem-solving, project execution and leadership.

Fellows will work on financial models, market analyses, dashboards, strategy proposals and AI-enabled workflows, while gaining hands-on exposure to tools including Claude, Figma, Cursor and Excel.

More than 150 hours of personalised career preparation will also be built into the programme, preparing Fellows for roles across strategy, growth, data and analytics, product, Founder’s Offices, consulting, public systems and institution building.

Dedicated career support will help Fellows identify the right opportunities, prepare for recruitment and interviews and connect with employers and professional networks, with the objective of launching them into strong, high-quality career pathways.

“What is distinctive about Pravaha is the way the academic model brings together business, AI, data, design and leadership with serious career preparation. At Jetri, we have worked to translate that ambition into a coherent learning model that is rigorous, applied and aligned with the world of work young people are entering,” said Shreyasi Singh, Founding Managing Partner, Jetri.

Creating high-quality career pathways from Bihar

Pravaha is being built around a simple proposition: ambitious young people should not necessarily have to leave Bihar to access high-quality learning, professional networks and career opportunities.

The initiative brings together Dr Ajay Kumar, who pledged land in Vaishali to establish the institution; Uday Shankar, former CEO of Star India and former President of The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific; and Dr Pramath Raj Sinha, Co-founder of Pravaha, Founder and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Ashoka University and Founding Dean of the Indian School of Business.

“The brightest students in Bihar will aspire to get into an IIT or an AIIMS, or go to Delhi University, Oxford or Stanford. But they’ll say, ‘Look, while I’m applying to all these places, I think I should also apply to Pravaha,’” said Dr Pramath Raj Sinha.

The Fellowship will draw on more than 30 faculty members and practitioners across economics, AI, business, strategy, leadership, communication and public policy, including academics and practitioners associated with institutions such as Harvard, Ashoka University, ISB and Northeastern University.

Applications and selection

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, be between 21 and 28 years old, have up to five years of work experience and possess working proficiency in English. Selection will include an online assessment followed by interviews for shortlisted candidates.
