Mumbai, September 3rd, 2026: FPSB India, the Indian subsidiary of Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC) to promote financial planning education, strengthen professional standards, and support talent development across India’s Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector.
The MoU was signed by Ramesh Vishwanathan, CEO, FPSB India, and Rishi Dhariwal, CEO, BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC) at the BFSI SSC office in Mumbai. The signing ceremony was attended by senior leadership from both organisations,
During the meeting, the leadership teams exchanged views on the growing importance of financial planning in India’s evolving economic landscape and the need to build greater awareness around career opportunities within the profession. Discussions also focused on entrepreneurship, continuous learning, and the importance of developing industry-ready professionals who can contribute to the long-term growth and resilience of the financial services sector.
By bringing together FPSB India’s expertise in advancing the financial planning profession and BFSI SSC’s experience in skilling and workforce development, the association seeks to create opportunities that benefit learners, young professionals, and the broader industry. The two organisations will explore initiatives spanning education, professional development, industry engagement, career awareness, and capability building.
