A Beginning with Faith: Kuldeep Maiti Visits Maa Vindhyavasini Temple in Kolkata Before His Political Innings, Seeks Blessings

Kolkata, July 13, 2026! Political turmoil is raging in West Bengal, with a split within the TMC. Several MLAs have left Mamata Banerjee’s side. Several Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha MPs are disgruntled with former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee. Meanwhile, the BJP government is opening doors for industrialists. Kuldeep Maiti, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of VFS Capital, visited Maa Vindhyavasini Dham in Vindhyachal before embarking on his new political journey. He sought the Goddess’s blessings for peace and prosperity in the state and for public service.

After the darshan, Maiti said, “Service is our resolve. With Maa’s blessings, I now want to play a direct role in the development of Kolkata and West Bengal.” Sources indicate that he may soon join the Bharatiya Janata Party and enter the Rajya Sabha. The joining ceremony is likely to be attended by a senior leader, possibly the BJP President or Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Kuldeep Maiti, a social worker, is considered a well-known name in the microfinance sector in eastern India. For the past two decades, he has been working for the financial empowerment of women and economically disadvantaged groups. A large number of visitors were present at the temple, and the visitors were elated upon returning with blessings.

Amidst discussions about new faces joining the BJP after being disillusioned with the TMC, Mr. Maiti’s name is also rapidly emerging. Maiti holds two master’s degrees in business administration and the social sector, as well as a doctorate. He will soon announce his action plan regarding education, health, and youth employment. Neither the BJP nor Maiti has yet issued an official confirmation.
