A Successful Chapter of Swa-Rozgaar Sakhi Campaign: Empowering Women through Skills and Financial Literacy

New Delhi, April 20, 2025 — The Women Story (TWS) has collaborated with the Jove Conscious Foundation and conducted an exciting transformative workshop under the Swa-Rozgaar Sakhi Campaign on April 20, 2025 at Mansarovar Garden. Under this workshop, every participant united under the common goal of taking control of their financial future and considering self-employment ideas.

The Swa-Rozgaar Sakhi Campaign is more than just financial literacy, it is enhancing awareness of sustainability as well as helping a person develop hands-on skills. The highlight of the day was a workshop on how to create handmade notepads where participants not only learned how to make sustainable products but learn how they create products that can provide income.

The event began with a fun interactive session on financial literacy led by TWS volunteers, who engaged women in conversation about budgeting, saving & financial independence. When real-life stories of women were shared, the conversations took on an inspiring tone for everyone.

The campaign stemmed from the desire to educate on sustainability — participants learned about the environmental benefits and the cost-savings associated with making notepads from recycled paper. With guided instruction, women were able to start making their own notepads through exploration of folding, binding & design, while also learning about branding and selling either locally or online. In support of their journey, the organizers planned to provide a follow-up session and shared opportunities for affordable raw materials and certain marketing methods.

There was a strong sense of enthusiasm and confidence in the room as the workshop came to an end. TWS and the Jove Conscious Foundation had given participants not only a skill, but rather they had planted the seeds of independence, resilience and empowerment.

The workshop is just one of many steps in the journey that TWS and the Jove Conscious Foundation continue to sponsor in empowerment and upliftment for women across the country–one skill, one journey, one success story at a time.
