ACT Strengthens Sustainability Push with 35 kVA Solar Setup in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, August 27, 2026: ACT, one of India’s leading wired internet service providers, has inaugurated a new 35 kVA solar power setup at its SKAV building in Bengaluru, marking the second milestone under its Green DC initiative.

The solar installation is part of ACT ongoing efforts to integrate renewable energy into its infrastructure and reduce its dependence on conventional power sources. The initiative reflects the company’s broader vision on building more energy-efficient and sustainable network infrastructure as its digital footprint continues to expand.

The Bengaluru deployment follows ACT first Green DC solar installation in Hyderabad in August 2025, further strengthening the company’s vision towards integrating renewable energy across its infrastructure.

Speaking on the development, Ravi Karthik, Chief Growth Officer, ACT, said, “At ACT, sustainability is increasingly becoming an integral part of how we build and manage our infrastructure. The expansion of our Green DC initiative reflects our commitment to identifying practical ways to improve energy efficiency and integrate renewable energy into our operations. With our second solar deployment in Bengaluru, we are taking another step towards building a more sustainable digital infrastructure and will keep exploring ways to enlarge these efforts across ACT network .”

As part of its next phase, ACT is actively identifying additional sites for captive solar power plants across its operations. The company is also exploring strategic partnerships with renewable power providers through models such as Open Access, which could enable better adoption of renewable energy across its infrastructure.

The Green DC initiative forms part of ACT’s broader sustainability goals, with the company looking to stabilise the growing energy requirements of digital connectivity with more responsible and efficient approaches to infrastructure management.

With increasing data consumption and the growing demand for always-on connectivity, ACT continues to focus on strengthening its network infrastructure while exploring opportunities to reduce its environmental footprint through renewable energy adoption and investing in energy-efficient practices.
