Jharkhand, 8 December 2025: ACC, part of the diversified Adani Portfolio and the fastest-growing building materials and solutions company, is strengthening access to healthcare in remote tribal communities through its grassroots health interventions. In Gulitand village, community outreach by ACC along with the Adani Foundation has helped identify and support vulnerable individuals suffering from preventable blindness.

Through the intervention of a trained community volunteer (Sangini), 59-year-old Bhamuni Devi was assisted in obtaining her Ayushman Bharat card under PM-JAY (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana) and was connected to an empanelled hospital for free cataract surgery. The timely support enabled her to access quality treatment that had earlier been beyond her reach.

The surgery was successful, restoring her vision and transforming her quality of life. Bhamuni can now manage daily tasks independently and has regained her confidence and self-reliance, reflecting ACC’s commitment to improving healthcare access and dignity for underserved communities.
