Adventure @ Mechuka: Arunachal Pradesh’s Mechuka to host the 3rd National Adventure Racing Championships in April 2025

Itanagar, December 12, 2024: In a bid to promote adventure sports and tourism in the region, Arunachal Pradesh’s Mechuka, often referred to as “Hidden Paradise of Northeast”, is all set to host the 3rd National Adventure Racing Championship from 17th to 20th April 2024.

Adventure Racing Championship is India’s National Championship event open to everyone. Every year, the race is set in few of the toughest parts of the country to find out the winners, who go on to represent the country at the ARWS Asia Regional Championship. The event, in its third edition, titled ‘Adventure at Mechuka’ is expected to draw vast number of participants from across the country, followed with spectators and admirers of Adventure Sports, Tourism and Nature, which during April will be a remarkable sight to behold.

While announcing this event, Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri Pasang Dorjee Sona took on his social media handles, “Get Ready for Adventure @ Mechuka! Arunachal Pradesh is thrilled to host the 3rd National Adventure Racing Championship 2025 in collaboration with Nth Adventure from 17th to 20th April. Known as the World’s Toughest Team Sport, Adventure Racing blends endurance, tradition, culture, and eco-tourism, spotlighting Mechuka as a premier adventure tourism destination. This first-ever adventure race in Arunachal aims to boost border tourism and attract participants from across the globe.”

Expressing his excitement, Hon’ble Minister added, “Mark your calendars and experience the spirit of adventure, human resilience, and the breathtaking beauty of Mechuka!”

The event, in its third edition is not only going to boost Border Tourism of India, and highlight Adventure Tourism, but also promote tradition, local culture and sustainable tourism steps by the Tourism Ministry, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
