ALIET’s INNOVATHON 2025: A Platform for Innovations Empowering Future Technologists

Rev. Fr. Dr. Joji Reddy S.J., Secretary and Director of ALIET, graces the project with his presence, inspiring and uplifting the students with his words of encouragement

Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET), Vijayawada Andhra Pradesh hosted the second day of INNOVATHON 2025, an event organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event showcased an impressive display of 35 AI projects and 27 ML projects, bringing together some of the brightest minds in technology.

Rev. Fr. Dr. Joji Reddy, S.J., Secretary and Director of ALIET, personally reviewed each project, providing valuable insights and encouragement to the students. His constant support and visionary leadership have played a crucial role in cultivating a culture of innovation and research at ALIET, motivating students to push the boundaries of technology.

The esteemed panel of judges for the event included Dr. Janaki Ramayya, Professor and HoD of the Department of CSE (DS, ML) at PVP Siddhartha College of Engineering, and Dr. K. Pavani, Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SRK Institute of Technology, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The judges expressed great satisfaction with the quality of the projects and offered constructive feedback, further appreciating the efforts of the department.

Dr. Shiv Ram Krishna, HoD, along with the faculty coordinators, ensured the seamless execution of the event. The students presented groundbreaking projects, including an AI-powered healthcare assistant, a smart traffic management system, fake news detection using NLP, autonomous drone navigation etc among others.

The Department of IT, led by Mr. Vidyasagar, HoD, also presented 25 innovative projects, such as a blockchain-based voting system, a cybersecurity threat analyzer, IoT-based smart home automation, and an AI-driven resume builder. The esteemed judges were thoroughly impressed with the students’ innovative ideas and solutions.

Dr. A. Haritha from the Department of Information Technology, PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, extended heartfelt thanks to Rev. Fr. Dr. Joji Reddy, S.J., for his continuous guidance, encouragement, and relentless pursuit of academic excellence, which continues to inspire both faculty and students.

The successful execution of INNOVATHON 2025 highlighted ALIET’s commitment to technological excellence, offering students a platform to present cutting-edge solutions to real-world challenges. The event further contributes to ALIET’s mission of fostering academic and technological growth.
