Ambuja Cements facilitates district-level Women’s Sports and Cultural Meet at Darlaghat to promote empowerment and expression

Himachal Pradesh, 29 May 2025: Ambuja Cements, the cement and building material company of the diversified Adani Portfolio, continues to empower communities through holistic development initiatives as part of its CSR activities. In a vibrant celebration of athleticism and cultural talent, Ambuja Cements facilitated a three-day District-Level Women’s Sports and Cultural Meet at its ITI campus in Darlaghat, drawing participation from 240 female trainees representing 10 Government and Private ITIs.

With full support from Ambuja Cements, the event offered a dynamic platform for young women to engage in competitions ranging from Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and Volleyball to folk songs, dances, and skits. The meet encouraged physical fitness, team spirit, and cultural pride—bringing together energy and expression in equal measure.

Students from Ambuja Cements-supported ITI in Darlaghat performed exceptionally well, securing top honors across multiple categories and earning the Overall Runner-Up Trophy. Three female students were selected for state level Kho Kho Tournaments.

By providing infrastructure, logistical support, and mentorship through its education and CSR teams, Ambuja Cements played a key role in enabling the success of this high-energy, high-impact initiative. The event concluded with recognition for all participants, fostering unity, leadership, and confidence among the district’s aspiring young women.
