Uttarakhand, 18 December 2025: Ambuja Cements, the 9th largest building materials solutions provider globally and part of the diversified Adani Portfolio, continues to strengthen rural livelihoods by supporting organic farming and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) in Uttarakhand. The Company-supported FPO Bhu Amrit has been honoured with the FPO Impact Award (FPO of the Year 2025 – Small Category) at the Livelihood India Summit, presented by the Chairman of NABARD and the CEO of Access Development Services.
Formed in 2018, Bhu Amrit has grown into a collective of 630 organic farmer shareholders working across the entire value chain — from organic production and certification to processing, branding, and marketing. With Ambuja Cements’ facilitation as part of its CSR, farmers have expanded their market reach across Delhi, Gujarat, Punjab, and through online platforms such as Flipkart, Amazon, and My Store.
Ambuja Cements supported the program in promoting organic farming in 2010 in Roorkee with just 50 farmers, helping them reduce cultivation costs, improve soil health, and adopt sustainable practices through structured training, demonstration plots, soil improvement methods, pest management support, and exposure visits.
By enabling farmer collectivisation through Bhu Amrit and strengthening organic agriculture, Ambuja Cements continues to enhance farm profitability, market access, and long-term sustainability for rural communities in Uttarakhand.
