Ashok Kumar Dohrey is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Lok Sabha constituency of Etawah in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Ashok Kumar Dohrey defeated his nearest rival Prem Das Katheriya of Samajwadi Party (SP) by a margin of more than 1.7 lakh votes. Throughout his political career, Dohrey has focused on improving the socio-economic conditions of backward sections of the society such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and other backward communities. Dohrey believes that betterment of these backward communities can be made possible through education and by providing employment opportunities.
Early Life and Education
Ashok Kumar Dohrey was born on September 23, 1970 to Shri Jagat Narayan Dohrey and Smt. Sukh Devi Dohrey. He was born in Rampura, which is located in Auraiya district in Uttar Pradesh. Dohrey holds a bachelor’s degree in arts (B.A.) and he received education at K.K. Mahavidyalaya, Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. He married Shashibala on February 17, 1997.

Ashok Kumar Dohrey likes listening to rural folk music, sangeet and watching TV. He also likes sports, as it helps improve physical and mental wellbeing.
