(Blue Planet), a global leader in sustainable waste management and circular economy solutions, co-hosted a key engagement for the CII Mission on Waste to Worth Technologies Delegation to Singapore, which commenced on May 19, 2025. As part of the five-day initiative, Blue Planet hosted the esteemed delegation on May 20, 2025, facilitating a visit to the company’s Vach-Tech business, which focuses on Hazardous Waste/refinery sludge management solutions, for knowledge exchange and to discuss scalable waste-to-worth technologies.

The delegation comprised key representatives from industry, start-ups, law firms, academic institutions, and other sustainability stakeholders, driving change across sectors and borders. A team of 26 members, headed byMr Masood Mallick, Chairman of the CII National Committee on Waste to Worth Technologies and MD & CEO Re-Sustainability Ltd and co-hosted by Mr Prashant Singh, Vice-Chairman of the CII National Committee on Waste to Worth and Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Blue Planet visited Singapore. During their visit, delegates met key government, academic, and industry leaders and explored some of Singapore’s most advanced waste management facilities and innovation centers.

The mission provided exposure to best practices and fostered collaboration between India and Singapore, with a key focus on waste-to-energy transition, biowaste treatment, e-waste recycling, water management, and integrated sustainability systems — all aimed at accelerating progress towards a sustainable future and contributing to Net Zero targets for both countries.

Prashant Singh, CEO of Blue Planet said, “At Blue Planet, we believe that real change happens when ideas are shared and solutions are scaled together. This mission, organised by CII, is a great opportunity to foster meaningful collaborations, explore new avenues for growth, and strengthen industry partnerships towards the common goal of building a sustainable future for all. I am excited to host the delegation in Singapore and showcase what’s possible when innovation meets intent”

The delegation also visited Singapore’s first waste incineration facility developed under the National Environment Agency’s Public-Private Partnership initiative, which has been operational since October 2009. Developed by Keppel Seghers in 2006, it was the fifth waste incineration plant built in the country and the most recent among the four currently operating. The facility, which showcases Singapore-developed WTE technology, features two incinerator-boiler units capable of processing more than 800 tonnes of solid waste daily and a turbine-generator with a power generation capacity of 22 MW.

This collaboration platform underscores Blue Planet’s commitment to facilitating cross-border knowledge exchange and advancing the adoption of modern sustainability practices in India. Sustainability-related challenges require local solutions, and this delegation is an important milestone in cultivating a cleaner, greener future through the synergy of innovation and intent.
