CM PS Tamang acknowledges efforts of every karyakarta during Vijay Diwas programme, Sikkim left with no opposition

New Delhi, July 12: Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang attended the ‘Vijay Diwas and thanks giving programme’ of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party at Khelgaon, Reshithang in the 28 Upper-Burtuk constituency of Sikkim on Wednesday.

“I dedicate this celebration to our dear supporters and karyakartas without whose dedication and perseverance, this event would not have been staged and brought to this level of success,” expressed the CM.

SKM Party is the Sikkimese People’s Party, and it needs to thrive along with the upliftment of the entire Sikkimese people.

“I acknowledge the efforts and support of every karyakarta and ensure they are given suitable opportunities,” he said.

The CM further said that Burtuk Constituency holds a special place in his heart as he remembers the sacrifices made by the people of Burtuk during the past decades. The CM also announced that Upper Burtuk constituency now has two MLAs representing them; CM himself and MLA Kala Madam.

“We will collectively look after the constituency and work for the progress, wellbeing, and augmentation of the people of the locality,” he shared.

Mr Tamang also mentioned the nine guarantees of SKM Government, where the government will focus on various sectors such as ‘Bi-Pa-Sa’ which includes electricity (Bijuli), drinking water (Pani) and road (Sadak) sectors, health, education, unemployment, tourism and many more.

“I urge everyone to stay united, join hands, and march towards a prosperous and golden Sikkim. I thank everyone concerned towards the preparation and meticulous arrangement of the Vijay Diwas and thanksgiving programme,” expressed the Chief Minister.

In a significant political development, lone opposition MLA from Sikkim Democratic Party Tenzing Norbu Lamtha from Syari constituency joined SKM during the programme.

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang wholeheartedly welcomed Lamtha to SKM resulting in no opposition remaining in Sikkim.

The Chief Minister expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with Lamtha to work towards the betterment of the entire Shyari area and its residents, emphasizing the shared goal of fostering progress and prosperity in the region.
