With over 17 years of experience in television, music and sports across content strategy and IP development, A&R, sync and licensing, Ruth brings a wealth of expertise to amplify DESI TRILL’s presence in one of the world’s most dynamic music markets.
As Head of Operations for India, Ruth Mohinani will oversee DESI TRILL’s expansion in the country, fostering collaborations, curating groundbreaking events, and amplifying Indian and South Asian artists globally.

Prior to joining DESI TRILL, Ruth Mohinani served as Senior Vice President, Content Strategy at Rolling Stone India and played a key role in shaping content direction and artist engagement. Before that she worked as General Manager (A&R) at Universal Music India, leading Indian hip-hop development with record-breaking streams on a global scale with Mass Appeal India and launching Def Jam India. Ruth Mohinani’s extensive career has also included management roles at NBA India and Viacom18 (Vh1 India & Comedy Central India), and Zee Trendz/Zee Café, where she spearheaded local IP development, content programming and acquisitions, talent management and events. Beyond her leadership roles, Ruth remains a steadfast mentor to emerging artists and helping upcoming talent navigate the complexities of the music industry with confidence.
