Everbloom’s World Stroke Day Awareness Workshop Highlights the Importance of Understanding Stroke and Holistic Recovery

New Delhi, 29 October 2025: On the occasion of World Stroke Day, Everbloom organised an impactful Awareness Workshop dedicated to spreading knowledge about stroke—its causes, warning signs, and the importance of timely intervention. The initiative brought together healthcare professionals, caregivers, and community members to build awareness around early detection, emergency response, and holistic recovery.

The session offered participants practical guidance on identifying stroke symptoms, performing essential first aid, and understanding post-stroke care. Experts also shared insights on the crucial role of caregivers, as well as the importance of rehabilitation through physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and psychological support. In addition, the workshop emphasised how proper nutrition, active lifestyles, and mental well-being can significantly improve recovery outcomes and prevent future strokes.

Each year, India reports between 1.5–1.8 million stroke cases, translating to roughly 130–170 strokes per 100,000 people, according to a 2023 Lancet report and other recent studies. Stroke has now become the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability in the country, highlighting the urgent need for greater public awareness and community-level preparedness.

Speaking about the initiative, Sonia Mehta, Founder of Everbloom, said, “Awareness plays a crucial role in reducing the impact of stroke, especially among seniors who are at higher risk. Through this session, we wanted to help individuals and families understand the importance of timely action, caregiver involvement, and lifestyle management in recovery. Stroke care goes beyond medical treatment, it involves emotional support, rehabilitation, and sustained attention to wellness.”

Everbloom’s mission is to empower senior citizens and their caregivers with science-backed healthcare solutions, expert-endorsed products, and engaging educational tools that promote healthy, dignified, and joyful aging. Guided by its vision to become India’s most trusted companion in eldercare, Everbloom continues to bridge clinical expertise with holistic wellness and community-driven initiatives.

Rooted in the values of Trust, Empathy, Convenience, and Evidence-Based Care, Everbloom’s World Stroke Day workshop reflects its larger commitment to create awareness, inspire action, and foster a culture where seniors and their families feel supported, informed, and empowered every step of the way.
