Hari Om Pandey

Hari Om Pandey is an Indian politician belonging to the BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) and a Member of Parliament (MP) from LokSabha. In 2014, he was elected to LokSabha from Ambedkar Nagar constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Hari Om spent several years working at the grassroots level, and made his way up to become a Member of Parliament. Throughout his political journey, he has put national interest above anything else, something that has enabled him to emerge as a highly responsible leader. Hari Om is deeply committed to and focused towards his duties as a political worker. He takes special interest in the dissemination and implementation of social welfare programs launched by the central government, which aim at inclusive development of various sections of the society. Hari Om remains committed to work for the betterment of the country throughout his life.

Early Life and Education

Hari Om Pandey was born in VeersinghPur, Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh on August 1, 1956 to Ram Kumar Pandey and Kalpana Pandey. His academic qualifications include M.A., B.Ed., and D.P.Ed., and he has received his education from Dr. Ram ManoharLohia University, Faizabad, U.P.; K.S. Saket College Faizabad; Christian College of Physical Education, Lucknow, U.P.; and National Institute of Sports, Kolkata. Hari Om married Rama Pandey on April 21, 1975.

Political Career

Hari Om made political history when he became the first candidate from BJP to win the Ambedkar Nagar constituency. He defeated his nearest rival by a margin of 139,429 votes. The win catapulted Hari Om to a more prominent position within the state’s political setup. During his political journey, Hari Om has made consistent efforts to improve the environment. His focus areas also include other important matters such as managing water resources in villages and cities; education of children; creating special programs to improve the condition of women in India; and reducing white collar crimes and juvenile delinquency.

Personal pursuits

Hari Om has interests in conducting social and cultural programs in Colleges and awareness programs through Seminars, Drama, etc. He likes to participate in social activities and conducting sports competitions at school and national level. He also has an avid interest in various sports. He has experience in conducting state and national level championships and has been a member of various sporting committees. Volleyball is one of his favorite sports.
