HMA Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) Empowers Students to Become Entrepreneurs and Changemakers

Hyderabad, September 2, 2025: The Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) today launched its flagship Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) at the London Management Academy, Hyderabad. Designed as a three-day immersive workshop, the EDP aims to ignite entrepreneurial thinking, develop leadership skills, and transform students from job-seekers into future job-creators. The occasion also marked the formal inauguration of the HMA Student Chapter and Oath Ceremony.

Mr. Alwala Devender Reddy, President of HMA, said, “The EDP is not just a workshop; it is a real-time learning experience that transforms the way students think. Through direct interactions with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators, students gain practical insights into how businesses are built, scaled, and sustained. These real-world perspectives, combined with exposure to emerging technologies, help students move beyond theory and develop the confidence, vision, and skills to start their own ventures. This programme is designed to mold them into entrepreneurs who will create jobs, drive innovation, and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth.”

With over 65% of India’s population under 35, the nation’s future depends on channeling youth energy into innovation and enterprise. HMA’s EDP bridges this gap by equipping students with an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic tools, and mentorship from seasoned leaders. Unlike conventional workshops, it focuses on immersive learning, practical exposure, and transformative thinking.

The EDP is more than a programme—it is a movement to shape Hyderabad’s youth into catalysts of economic and social progress. By fostering resilience, innovation, and leadership, HMA ensures students are not only prepared for the future of work but are also building the future of Bharat’s economy.

For over six decades, HMA—affiliated with the All India Management Association (AIMA)—has been a pillar of management excellence, leadership building, and knowledge sharing. With the launch of its Student Chapter and EDP, HMA reaffirms its mission to empower young talent to thrive in an ever-changing business world.

The launch was graced by Vasudevan, Secretary of HMA; PAST PRESIDENTS Chandra Shekar and Nagesh Vishwanatham, facilitators Shivdhar Soma and Ravi Chada, Shivram Tekuru, COO of HMA, London Management Academy Principal Supriya Srivastava, faculty member Shita Waghray, and students of the academy.
