Honda India Foundation launches “Kaushal Vikas Kendra for Persons with Disabilities with Sarthak Educational Trust” in Bengaluru

A step towards inclusive skill development and sustainable careers for Persons with Disabilities

Bengaluru, 10th November 2025 : Honda India Foundation (HIF), the CSR arm for all Honda group of companies in India has announced the launch of Kaushal Vikas Kendra for Persons with Disabilities in partnership with Sarthak Educational Trust in Bengaluru, marking a significant step in advancing inclusive skill development. The program focusses on empowering Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through structured vocational training and career-oriented interventions that open pathways to meaningful employment and independence.

The launch event was graced by Mr. Vinay Dhingra and Mr. Katsuyuki Ozawa, Trustees, Honda India Foundation, Mr. Takashi Yashima, Director & Chief Financial Officer, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Mr. Takayuki Suzuki, Executive Vice President, Narsapura Plant, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Mr. Rajeev Taneja, Operating Officer, Honda India Foundation, Mr. Sunil Mittal, Operating Officer, Narsapura Plant, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India and Dr. Jitender Aggarwal, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Sarthak Educational Trust along with other representatives from the Trust. The program marked the beginning of a new phase of collaboration focussed on enabling inclusive skill development in Bengaluru.

The initiative offers a three-month specialized training program tailored to the evolving needs of the industries such as IT/ ITES, e-commerce, hospitality, retail and marketing. Each training module is designed to combine theoretical learning with practical exposure, helping participants build relevant, hands-on skills. The program ensures a supportive learning environment that enables participants to progress confidently at their own pace.

The program also includes career readiness sessions, covering both pre and post placement support to help participants transition smoothly into the workforce. Participants will engage in interactive sessions with alumni and professionals to gain insights into workplace expectations and career growth. In addition, exposure to free to use digital platforms such as CapSarathi, GyanSarathi and RozgarSarathi will enhance access to online resources, skill building tools and job opportunities. Over the next six months, the initiative will benefit 125 PWDs, equipping them with skills, mentorship and job placement opportunities to strengthen their path towards independence and sustainable employment.

Through this partnership, HIF and Sarthak educational Trust aim to create a model of inclusion that combines vocational learning, digital literacy and continuous career guidance, helping participants shape a future driven by skills, opportunity and self-belief.
