Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India achieves 2 crore sales milestone in South India

Bengaluru, 18th February 2025 : Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), a leading two-wheeler manufacturer in the country, has achieved a significant milestone in its journey. The company has recorded a cumulative 2 crore two-wheeler sales in South India, marking a new chapter in its presence across key markets.

Since commencing operations in India, HMSI has built a strong customer base across Southern India. The company reached its 1 crore sales milestone in this market in 17 years. Accelerating its growth, the next 1 crore sales were achieved in just 7 years, bringing the total to 2 crore mark.

As part of its celebration for the 2-crore milestone, HMSI has introduced a limited period offer exclusively for customers in South India. Throughout February 2025, buyers of Activa and Activa 125 can avail zero processing fees and zero documentation charges, making ownership more accessible.

Best-Selling Models and HMSI’s expansive lineup
HMSI has a strong presence in South India with an extensive network of more than 1773 touchpoints. The company’s success in the market has been driven by its popular two-wheelers, particularly the Activa and Activa 125 in the scooter segment and Shine 125, Unicorn and SP125 in the motorcycle segment.

Apart from the Activa in 110cc & 125cc avatars, the company’s scooter line-up includes Dio in 110cc & 125cc versions and in the motorcycle category, there are nine exciting models across 100-110cc (Shine 100, CD 110 Dream Deluxe & Livo), 125cc (Shine 125 & SP125), 160cc (Unicorn & SP160) and 180-200cc (Hornet 2.0 & CB200X) segments. HMSI’s premium motorcycle retail format is led by the BigWing Topline for entire premium motorcycle range (200cc – 1800cc) in top metros and BigWing – exclusively for mid-size motorcycle segment (200cc – 500cc).
