Important bottle-feeding guidelines for parents

Dairy products meant for children such as organic full cream milk, full cream milk for babies, full cream milk for toddlers, etc. are quite healthy, as they supply a wide variety of nutrients including proteins, vitamins, essential fats, and minerals. However, there have been some cases where parents have complained about their child getting diarrhea after consumption of these products.

Sterilization – Ensure that all equipment used for feeding children is sterilized in boiling water. Parents also need to ensure that their hands are free from harmful pathogens. They can use soap or a hand sanitizer, whichever may be available. After sterilizing the feeding equipment, it should be dried quickly, preferably using a clean cotton cloth or a similar product. If the equipment remains wet for long, it may again attract bacteria and viruses or fungi, as the air is full of such organisms.

Ensure the baby is clean – Wipe the child’s mouth and hands with a clean cotton towel before feeding. Children are quite active, and their constant rolling, crawling and touching various things can transfer bacteria or viruses onto their hands and mouth. These can then possibly enter their bodies at the time of feeding.

Boil the milk – Organic full cream milk, full cream milk for babies, and full cream milk for toddlers should be properly boiled and a lid should be kept on the vessel immediately after boiling. The child can be fed when the milk cools down to the right temperature.

With these steps, parents can avoid cases of diarrhea and other infections in children.
