India and Russia Strengthen Educational Partnership as Chaman Bhartiya School Bengaluru Signs MoC with Lobachevsky Lyceum

The MoC represents a major milestone and a significant step in advancing global academic collaboration in innovation and technology
India, October 15, 2025: In a significant move to advance international learning and foster innovative exchange, Chaman Bhartiya School (CBS), an institution committed to shaping leaders of the future, has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with Lobachevsky First University Lyceum, a branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia. The collaboration reflects the shared vision of both nations to harness education, science, and technology as key drivers of innovation and progress
The MoC establishes a comprehensive framework for collaboration spanning joint research and innovation projects, educator development, and cross-cultural learning initiatives. Through this partnership, both institutions seek to foster global exchange, nurture leadership and innovation, and empower teachers as catalysts of change.
As part of the collaboration, Chaman Bhartiya School will host teachers and students for an international exchange and joint cultural celebration beginning in January 2026. This will be followed by a Science and Technology Study Programme in Europe scheduled for May 2026.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Ms. Geeta Jayanth, Head of School, Chaman Bhartiya School, said: “This collaboration is a unique opportunity to bring our students and teachers closer together, strengthening the bond between our schools and our nations. Russia has long been a favourite destination for Indian students pursuing medicine, fostering deep cultural ties over time. The popularity of Bollywood music in Russia beautifully reflects the warmth and mutual admiration between our cultures. This partnership will open new doors for both our students and teachers – to learn from each other, collaborate on projects, and experience each other’s cultures firsthand.
Speaking about the partnership, Mr. Maxim Bychkov, Director of Lobachevsky First University Lyceum, said: “It is a great honor for us to build this partnership and, more importantly, a friendship with Chaman Bhartiya School. We believe this collaboration will open meaningful opportunities for our students and teachers to share knowledge, experiences, and culture, strengthening educational ties between our nations.
As part of the understanding between the two parties, both students and teachers will gain exposure to diverse learning environments, global perspectives, and collaborative opportunities. Beyond academics, the aim is to strengthen people-to-people connections, nurturing a new generation of globally competent and compassionate learners who are prepared to make a positive impact in an interconnected world.
This initiative also complements broader governmental efforts to deepen India–Russia relations through educational diplomacy and international cooperation, setting a precedent for future partnerships between institutions in both nations.
