In a resounding recognition of Indian excellence in the real estate and architecture sector, Indian developers and architects bagged an impressive 58 awards at the prestigious Asia Pacific International Property & Hotel Awards 2024-25 (part of International Property Awards) held in Bangkok.
The prestigious event welcomed over 500 guests and industry luminaries to celebrate excellence across architecture, interior design, real estate and property development and recognized over 400 winning companies from across the Asia Pacific.
Indian Firms Take Centre Stage
Several Indian firms emerged victorious at this year’s Asia Pacific International Property & Hotel Awards, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication to creating world-class projects. Among the winners from India, Reza Kabul’s astonishing project Taj Gandhinagar Spa Resort was awarded the best hotel spa interiors owing to its seamless blend of luxury and sustainability. The resort’s authentic Turkish Hamam Spa and exclusive café showcasing lavish interiors created a holistic experience that integrated distinguished design. The resort’s unique features, such as its weekend getaway oasis and serene surroundings, made it a deserving winner.
Illustrating a workplace masterpiece inspired by Ahmedabad’s rich heritage, the Lubi Industries by DSP Design Associates caught the eyes of the judges with its contextual and sustainable design, incorporating traditional influences with modern architecture. The building’s innovative structural design, featuring six different-sized blocks stacked around open-to-sky permeable courtyards, won the “Best of Commercial & Manufacturing Architecture” award. The space altogether redefined the city’s architectural landscape.
33 LE, one of the plushest residential projects in Vadodara by Uneven Property, won an award under the “Architecture Multiple Residence” category for its innovative design features like terrace pool and passive cooling systems with a focus on structural safety and ventilation. Its unique design including Vastu and four sides smooth ventilation with optimum natural light, made it bag the top honour at the award ceremony.
Mass & Void’s latest venture, a bungalow at Salt Lake, Kolkata, was awarded the best residential interior private residence for its meticulous design, incorporating Vastu principles and Hindu Vaidik guidelines. The bungalow was crafted with symmetrical interior designs that exuded coziness and warmth. The project’s attention to detail and commitment to traditional design principles made it stand out from its other competitors.
Lastly, emphasizing a natural setting, Architect Suri & Associates’ Trellis Garden, an orchard on the Mohali outskirts, was awarded in the “Leisure Architecture” category for its grand and luxurious ethnic architecture, blending beauty, and grandiosity under one roof. Trellis Garden is a resort with banquet halls and a restaurant, emphasizing a natural, barn-like ambience. The project’s strategic design around an existing orchard and garden trellis arch created a unique example of Indian context architecture.
