India’s First Multicultural Residential Community: 7,000 Residents from 30 States Unite in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 26 January 2025: In a remarkable display of unity in diversity, more than 7,000 residents of PBEL City, Hyderabad, came together to celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of India this Republic Day. This unique residential community, comprising individuals from all 30 states and union territories, hosted an event that showcased the true spirit of togetherness and cultural pride.

The highlight of the celebration was a vibrant mini-parade, where residents represented their states by showcasing traditional attire, art forms, iconic landmarks, and geographical significance. The event saw enthusiastic participation from children, adults, and senior citizens, who joyfully celebrated their heritage while embracing the diversity of their neighbors.

In addition to the cultural festivities, various interest groups also took part in the event, including sports enthusiasts in running, cricket, volleyball, and badminton. A special senior citizens’ group of over 100 members added a touch of wisdom and grace to the occasion.

PBEL City also stands out for its commitment to sustainability. This Republic Day event emphasized eco-friendly practices, with all materials used being environmentally sustainable. The community ensured that no plastic products were utilized, underscoring its dedication to waste segregation and green initiatives.

Adding to its unique identity, PBEL City has a fully functional Volunteer Response Unit trained to handle emergencies, including medical situations, accidents, fires, domestic violence, and missing persons. This resident-driven team, trained by government agencies, serves as first responders during crises, exemplifying the community’s proactive spirit.

The event was seamlessly organized by the Mini India Parade Team, a group of dedicated volunteers, with strong support from the PBEL City Association.
