U-Sphere, a subsidiary of Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society, entrusted with project construction
Bengaluru, July 29, 2025: Kerala’s first health care township under the Invest Kerala investment-friendly summit was launched at Cherpulassery today. The foundation stone of Canyo Health was laid in the presence of the Hon. Minister for Industries, Mr. P. Rajeev. The ceremony was led by Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awardee, Prof. Dr. Suresh H. Advani, Chairman of Canyo Health.
The event was attended by prominent personalities from across the social, political, cultural, economic, educational, and healthcare sectors. Shoranur MLA Hon. M. Mammikutty, along with other political and community leaders, also addressed the gathering.
Canyo Health is envisioned as a digitally integrated healthcare and education hub at Cherpulassery. The project will be implemented in five phases over five years and includes:
- A 250-bed multi-specialty hospital with oncology services
- A 100-bed mother and child care hospital, including birthing suites and postnatal care
- An academic institution offering B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, Paramedical and other healthcare programs for 1100 students
In addition to core medical and academic facilities, the project also includes:
- A premium care retirement home
- A bystander apartment complex for visitors
- Supporting infrastructure including a food court, supermarket, staff hostel, energy station, convention center, park, and sports complex
The construction of the township is being carried out by U-Sphere, a subsidiary of the Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS). Speaking on the occasion, U-Sphere CEO Mr. Biju Mahima stated, “Based on sustainability and social responsibility, it is a matter of great pride for U-Sphere to be part of the construction of the Canyo Health Township project. Envisioned as a comprehensive hub with world-class healthcare and educational facilities, this initiative will stand as a model for contemporary and sustainable infrastructure development.”
Canyo Health aims to develop a completely eco-friendly campus. The core objective of the project is to ensure access to high-quality healthcare and education services for all sections of society.
Managing Director Hon. Najeeb Karothkuzhi Moosa, Medical Director Dr. Mubarak Moitheen, Finance Director Mr. Amil Kumar, and Legal Director Adv. Shahazad were also present on the dais.
