ITM IHM Expands Career Opportunities Through Integrated IATA Pathway

Mumbai, June 2026: As the global travel and tourism industry continues to evolve, hospitality careers are increasingly extending beyond traditional hotel roles. To prepare students for this changing landscape, ITM Institute of Hotel Management (ITM IHM) offers an integrated pathway to the globally recognised IATA Foundation in Travel & Tourism diploma alongside its hospitality degree program, enabling students to build careers across airlines, airports, cruise lines, travel companies, and international tourism organisations.

Through the IATA certification, students gain knowledge in airline geography, fare construction, passenger handling, ticketing procedures, and global reservation systems. They also learn to use Global Distribution Systems (GDS), advise travellers on passport, visa, and insurance requirements, and plan travel experiences involving flights, hotels, cruises, rail services, and tour packages. While the IATA examination is optional and involves an additional cost, the pathway is embedded within the academic experience and is encouraged for students seeking careers in aviation, travel, and tourism.
