JK Tyre inaugurates Phase III Expansion of Banmore Plant for Passenger Car Radial Tyre

Banmore/Gwalior, Jan 14, 2026: Indian tyre industry major and a market leader in the radial tyre segment, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., today inaugurated the Phase III of capacity expansion and modernisation at its state-of-the-art Passenger Car Radial (PCR) manufacturing facility at Banmore, Madhya Pradesh.

The new modern manufacturing facility was inaugurated by Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, India’s leading automotive manufacturer in the presence of Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director and Mr. Anshuman Singhania, Managing Director, JK Tyre along with other leadership team of Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL).

With the commissioning of Phase III, as part of JK Tyre’s multi-phase investment strategy of over ₹1,000 crore at the Banmore facility, the plant’s production capacity has increased to 30,000 passenger car radial tyres per day, translating to approximately 10.5 million tyres annually. This milestone underscores the company’s long-term commitment to domestic manufacturing and India’s growing passenger vehicle ecosystem.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., said, “The inauguration of Phase III expansion by Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi San at our Banmore plant reflects JK Tyre’s unwavering commitment to strengthening India’s manufacturing ecosystem and supporting the country’s mobility growth story.
