KPIT and COEP Technological University Launch Hardware-Software Integration Lab to Bridge Industry and Academia

Mumbai, 4th August, 2025 — KPIT Technologies, a global leader in building mobility solutions for a cleaner, smarter, and safer world, has announced the launch of the KPIT APEX Lab in collaboration with COEP Technological University. APEX stands for Advanced Platform for Embedded eXpertise—is part of KPIT’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and academia upskilling and represents a strategic step towards bridging the gap between academic learning and industrial application.

The lab is equipped with the most advanced tools and designed to empower students and faculty to work on real-world challenges in embedded systems and hardware-software integration, fostering innovation and industry-readiness.

The KPIT APEX Lab will benefit undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD scholars, and faculty members, offering them a platform to:

·         Build core technical competencies in embedded systems and hardware-software integration technologies

·         Conduct advanced research and contribute to industry-relevant innovation

·         Engage in continuous learning and cross-institutional collaboration

Aligned with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the lab promotes multidisciplinary learning, hands-on experience, and modular, credit-based education. It operates in a cluster-based format, making it accessible to students from COEP Technological University and member institutions. Currently AISSMS Institute of Information TechnologyMarathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Engineering, and Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering are member institutions in the cluster with more institutions expected to join.

This collaborative model encourages shared infrastructure, curriculum development, and faculty upskilling—ensuring a scalable and inclusive approach to technical education.
