Ladies Circle India Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with 200 Jawans in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, 11 August 2025: In a heartfelt Raksha Bandhan celebration, Bangalore North Ladies Circle 14 (BNLC 14), supported by Area 6 of Ladies Circle India, visited the Parachute Regiment in Bengaluru to honour over 200 jawans as brothers who protect the nation.
During the visit, members listened to stories of bravery and dedication from officers and jawans who guard India’s borders around the clock. The women applied a tilak on the soldiers’ foreheads, prayed for their long life, and tied Rakhis, a symbolic gesture of gratitude and affection. The celebrations were filled with smiles, warmth, and heartfelt exchanges, strengthening the bond between citizens and soldiers.
The jawans, eagerly awaiting Rakhis from their sisters, welcomed the members of the Ladies Circle with open arms. This was a touching tribute to India’s true protectors, celebrating the spirit of Raksha Bandhan beyond family ties.
The Commanding Officer of the Parachute Regiment expressed his gratitude for the gesture and urged citizens to remain vigilant, learn self-defence, and understand that modern warfare extends beyond battlefields to include information and trade conflicts.
Now in its sixth year, the initiative was spearheaded by Cr Shruti Kiran, Mentor of BNLC 14, and made possible through contributions from six circles: BSLC66, BCLC105, BTLC122, BMTLC54, BKLC107, and BNLC14. The celebration concluded with refreshments served by the regiment and a memento presented to the Ladies Circle India.
