National, July 17, 2026: Montra Electric, India’s full-spectrum electric commercial vehicle brand, officially marked its entry into West Bengal with the inauguration of its first state-of-the-art electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) dealership in Howrah, Kolkata. Partnering with Next Drive Mobility, the launch event formally introduced Montra Electric’s EVIATOR e-SCV to the fast-evolving last-mile delivery ecosystem in the region, arriving at a moment when the brand’s national footprint is scaling rapidly.

The event was attended by key industry stakeholders, regional partners, and fleet operators eager to experience the future of clean and efficient transport. Jointly inaugurated by Mr. Saju Nair, CEO, e-SCV, Montra Electric, Mr. Saurabh Khetan, Dealer Principal, Next Drive Mobility, Mr. Devansh Agarwal and Mr. Sudarshan Sarda, the new facility is fully operational as a comprehensive one-stop sales, service, and spare parts hub designed to maximize vehicle uptime for local logistics operations.
The Kolkata launch follows a period of rapid scale-up for the EVIATOR platform. The EVIATOR 350L, launched in January 2025, has captured over 30% market share in FY25 within the 3.5-tonne e-SCV segment in just 12 months. That growing base of on-road vehicles and accumulated operating data is what Montra Electric now brings to West Bengal.

The expanded EVIATOR product range from Montra Electric includes the E350 (32 kWh), E350L (40 kWh), and E350L+ (50 kWh) variants. Engineered specifically for high-utilisation urban logistics, the platform is designed to carry a 1.7-tonne payload with a 10.3 ft loading deck, enabling efficient intra-city cargo movement. Powered by an advanced liquid-cooled Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, it delivers a real-world range of over 200+ km and supports CCS2 DC fast charging, reaching 80% charge in approximately 60 minutes. The EVIATOR also features D+2 seating, offers an extended warranty of up to seven years on both the battery and the vehicle, provides flexible Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) options, and delivers an industry-leading running cost of just ₹2.35 per kilometre. The deployment highlights a broader industry shift toward high-performance, specialised electric mobility in urban logistics.
