This significant collaboration aims to unlock access to quality, industry-aligned higher education for the wards and spouses of police personnel- serving, retired, disabled, and those who have laid down their lives in the line of duty.

The MoU was formalised in the presence of Shri. Rupin Sharma, Director General of Police (DGP), Nagaland; Shri. Videlailie Zashumo, Inspector General of Police (Administration); Shri. Sandeep M. Tamgadge, IPS, ADGP (L&O) and Shri. Kuldip Sarma, Hon’ble Co-Founder & Pro-Chancellor, MSU.
Speaking on the occasion, Rupin Sharma said, “This collaboration is a meaningful step towards securing the future of our personnel’s families. By enabling access to quality higher education, we are investing in their aspirations and long-term empowerment in a pursuit to unlock opportunities that matter.
Kuldip Sarma added“At MSU, we believe education must reach those who have contributed selflessly to society. This partnership with Nagaland Police is a commitment to creating opportunities, building capabilities, and supporting families in shaping a more empowered future. More than a partnership, it stands as a powerful tribute to service, ensuring that the aspirations of these families are not just supported, but meaningfully empowered for a better tomorrow.”
As part of this initiative, MSU will offer a range of scholarships to eligible beneficiaries. This includes 50% tuition fee scholarships for wards and spouses of serving and retired personnel, and 100% scholarships for families of personnel who have died in harness, gallantry medal recipients, and those excelling in state or national-level sports. In addition, merit-based scholarships will be extended based on performance in recognised national-level entrance examinations for undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs.

This collaboration further strengthens MSU’s commitment to give back to the armed and the defense forces of the country. Through its collaborations with the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, CRPF, Assam Rifles, Sikkim Police and Sashastra Seema Bal, MSU has been enabling upward mobility, enhancing employability, and creating structured pathways for aspirational learners from defense backgrounds for long-term socio-economic impact.
