Repello AI introduces ARTEMIS and Repello Guard, automated AI red teaming and AI guardrails platforms, that enable enterprises to continuously identify and mitigate threats to their GenAI applications
Bengaluru, India, 12 June 2025: Repello AI, a pioneer in AI security, has raised USD 1.2 Million in seed funding. The company is leading the way in AI red teaming, using an attacker-centric approach to defend AI systems. Repello AI also introduces its advanced AI security solutions – ARTEMIS and Repello Guard, that test AI systems by simulating real-world attacks to uncover vulnerabilities and provide actionable next steps for mitigation, enabling organizations to proactively safeguard their Generative AI applications.
The round saw participation from Venture Highway (acquired by General Catalyst), pi Ventures, Entrepreneur First and angel investors including Charles Songhurst, Board member- Meta, Vivek Raghavan, CEO- Sarvam.ai, and Satya Vyas, CEO- Project Hero. Repello AI will use the capital to accelerate product development and expand the platform’s red teaming and threat intelligence capabilities, to scale their go-to-market efforts and to build strategic partnerships and integrations that will fuel the company’s growth.
Established in 2024 by IIT Roorkee alumni Aryaman Behera and Naman Mishra, Repello AI is based in San Francisco and Bengaluru. Having built and exited ventures during college, the founders bring deep expertise in machine learning and security. With a strong track record in building enterprise scale products, they started Repello AI with a mission to solve the critical security challenges that prevent enterprises from safely deploying generative AI at scale.
Enterprises today face escalating risks with GenAI systems becoming increasingly susceptible to sophisticated attacks that existing security tools often do not detect. These can lead to potentially severe consequences such as – data breaches by prompt injection (e.g. a car dealership’s AI chatbot offering a $1 car); unsafe AI outputs that harm brand reputation; infrastructure attacks causing financial losses; and costly compliance failures. Repello AI addresses these risks through its robust solutions across red teaming and AI guardrails, enabling enterprises to defend their AI systems against evolving threats.

ARTEMIS’s next-generation adversarial testing combined with Repello Guard’s real-time input/output filtering and runtime monitoring, provides a comprehensive solution that accelerates safe AI deployment, ensures compliance and turns emerging threats into clear, actionable fixes. Repello AI is trusted by leading global enterprises, along with companies such as Groww and PhysicsWallah, to secure their AI systems against a broad range of evolving threats.
Aryaman Behera, Co-Founder & CEO of Repello AI said, “We’re at an inflection point where AI adoption is accelerating faster than security solutions can keep pace. Enterprises are deploying generative AI across every function, but they’re doing it with yesterday’s security playbook. The best defense is a strong offense, and we’re ensuring our customers can proactively identify and neutralize emerging AI security threats before they become enterprise risks. The market needs a new approach – one that’s as sophisticated and scalable as the AI systems it’s protecting. That’s exactly what we’re building.”
“As GenAI transforms industries, its security architecture cannot be an afterthought. From day one, our goal has been to stay ahead of emerging threats. With our products, we’re reimagining AI security from the ground up – merging proactive adversarial testing with automated scale to preempt threats before they are exploited,” added Naman Mishra, Co-Founder & CTO, Repello AI.
“Generative AI introduces a fundamentally new threat landscape—one that traditional cybersecurity solutions weren’t built for. Accurately detecting and mitigating threats in the dynamic GenAI attack surface is a complex challenge. Having built in security and AI since their college days, Aryaman and Naman have built a GenAI-native security solution to go beyond perimeter defense, identify unknown threats and optimize for high precision and recall,” said Roopan Aulakh – Managing Director, pi Ventures.
Going ahead the focus for the company remains product enhancement with advanced multimodal and agentic capabilities. Repello AI plans to expand its market by targeting enterprise customers in healthcare, insure-tech, financial services, digital native companies and grow its global presence.
