Backing high-potential students with structured merit support across all schools in both its campuses
Bangalore, 24 March 2026: RV University (RVU), among the leading premier private universities in Karnataka, has announced its merit scholarship programme for the academic year 2026–27, reaffirming its commitment to recognising academic excellence and widening access to quality higher education. For the upcoming academic cycle (2026-27), the University has earmarked Rs.10 crore towards scholarships. Over 35% of the total intake of undergraduate and postgraduate students are expected to benefit from the initiative. Admissions are currently open, and eligible students can apply for merit scholarships along with their programme applications.
The scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and will cover upto 100% of the tuition fee in the first year. The support will be renewed in subsequent years, subject to students maintaining the prescribed academic performance. The merit scholarships are open to students from all State and Central Boards across India. Students who excel in the CUET examination will get Rs. 50,000/- scholarship.
The scholarships will be distributed across RVU’s all schools, which together offer more than 30-degree programmes. The allocation will span a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, computer science, law, liberal arts, design, film, media, creative arts, business, management, psychology, pharmacy, applied sciences, and economics.

In addition to the above allocated merit scholarships of Rs. 10 crore, RV University has instituted scholarships under the following categories as well:

Scholarship for Children of RVEI Staff: Students whose parents are presently serving RSST / RVEI as full time employees are eligible to receive a scholarship of Rs. 25,000/- in the first year. The student will continue to receive the scholarship in the second/third/fourth year (as appropriate, depending on the academic progression of the student) if the parent continues to be in service and the student passes in all the courses in that academic year, maintaining good attendance and conduct.

Scholarship for RVU Alumni: Students who graduated from RV University will be eligible for the RVU alumni scholarship, which offers Rs. 50,000 tuition fee waivers for admissions to master programmes at RV University.
