Safran Aircraft Engines signs a new Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Precision Products Manufacturer Maini Precision Products Limited

Chandigarh June 19, 2025: Safran Aircraft Engines, a world leading French engine manufacturer in the design, development and production of aircraft engines, and Maini Precision Products Limited, a leading Bangalore based Aerospace precision products manufacturer and a Raymond Limited group company, have signed a new long-term agreement to supply assembled products for the CFM LEAP Engine.

This announcement marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between Safran Aircraft Engines and Maini Precision Products Limited (MPPL), with MPPL already providing the aircraft engines manufacturer with a variety of turbine vanes, forged and machined metallic products. The agreement further highlights the growing integration of India’s aerospace manufacturing to the global supply chain and deepens SAE’s Make in India initiative. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Mr. Dominique Dupuy, Safran Aircraft Engines’ Purchasing VP and Mr. Gautam Maini, Managing Director, MPPL, in the presence of Mr. Gautam Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, Raymond Group, at the Paris Air Show, Le Bourget 2025.

For 25 years, we have partnered with MPPL in the machining of CFM56 and LEAP parts, said Dominique Dupuy, Safran Aircraft Engines’ Purchasing VP. Today, we are renewing our trust in this reliable partner and expanding our collaboration to support the LEAP engine ramp-up and strengthen our footprint in India.” Under the terms of the MOU, MPPL will manufacture machined assemblies for CFM LEAP engine combustors, powering single-aisle mainline commercial jets. The agreement originally spans a period of five years and reflects MPPL’s long-term commitment to supplying Safran Aircraft Engines with cutting-edge metallic products and the highest levels of operational excellence.

MPPL, which has significant footprint with global Aerospace companies, has been a longstanding supplier to Safran Aircraft Engines which was its first Aerospace customer, and has consistently been a preferred engine products supplier for critical N2, N3 & N4 parts for well over two decades.
