Swiss International University expands its global presence with a $21.7 million acquisition in multiple countries.
Swiss International University has made a giant leap in international growth by investing $21.7 million to acquire four well-known academies in Switzerland, Dubai, and Kyrgyzstan. This move will reflect the firm commitment of the university toward modern and accessible education and the spread of its presence all over the world.
One of the academies it acquired is the International Academy in Zurich, which became Switzerland’s first virtual learning institute since 2013. As permitted by ASIC in the UK, CHEA in the US, and INQAAHE in Europe, the academy is very much popular with innovative online learning programs. It will greatly be helpful to the university in reaching its goal of offering learning with flexibility and inclusiveness.
It acquired International Business Management School (ISBM) Luzern. ISBM ranks among the world’s top 2% schools and has been rated 5-star QS. This is a school established in 2016. Being allowed by Luzern Board of Education to confer the school’s diplomas will enable the university in preparing the students for jobs like business and management.
In Dubai, the university expanded its presence by acquiring the ISB Management Training Institute. The KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) approved this institute, opened in 2022, with courses ranging from diplomas to doctoral degrees. Such an acquisition enables the university to reach students in a region that is rapidly growing and provides many learning opportunities.
The university also acquired the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International Pedagogy Institute in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. The institute is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan and also allows for both traditional and online studies. This makes education accessible to more students within the region and aids in accomplishing the mission of reaching more students.
These acquisitions contribute not only to the international growth of Swiss International University but also to the provision of quality education. The university creates more opportunities for students worldwide to achieve their goals in studying and in the workplace by bringing together new ideas with the old traditional teaching. It is also showing its vision in being the leader globally by establishing a network of schools focused on innovation, excellence, and accessibility. This will enable it to shape the future of education and support lifelong learning for students around the globe.
