TAPMI’s 38th Annual Graduation Ceremony Conducted as part of 31st Convocation of MAHE, Manipal

April 23, Manipal: T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), a leading business school under the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), hosted its 38th Annual Graduation Ceremony as part of the 31st Convocation Ceremony of MAHE, Manipal. At the event, degrees were awarded to the students of MBA (Core), MBA in Banking and Financial Services), MBA in Human Resources Management, MBA in Marketing, and MBA in International Business. The ceremony was graced by Guest of Honor Shri Rajiv Mirwani, Managing Director- Financial Products- South Asia, Bloomberg LP.

Lt. General (Dr.) M D Venkatesh, Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, presided over the convocation ceremony. Dr. Madhu Veeraraghavan, Pro Vice-Chancellor MLHS & Bengaluru, extended congratulations to the graduating cohort, encouraging them to pursue their passions and bring joy to their parents. Dr. Rajeev Kumra, Director of TAPMI, delivered the Institute Report and welcomed the esteemed guests. The event also saw the presence of Dr N N Sharma, Pro VC – Strategy & Planning, Dr. Giridhar Kini, Registrar, Dr Vinod Thomas, Registrar- Evaluation. Long service awards and the T M A Pai Gold medal for research excellence was presented to Dr. Madhu Veeraraghavan

During the ceremony, Shri Rajiv Mirwani delivered the convocation address and conferred degrees and special awards to students who have demonstrated academic excellence. Weaving in transformative career lessons, Mirwani delivered the speech, inspiring the audience to chase their dreams.

A total of 510 students in the 2022-24 batch graduated, with 364 students from the flagship MBA course, 52 students from MBA (Banking and Financial Services), 49 from MBA (Human Resources Management), 24 students from MBA (Marketing), and 21 students from MBA (International Business). The first degree was conferred posthumously to Jashwini H Reddy (MBA -BKFS), who died tragically in a road accident, the bereaved family received the award to a standing ovation. The gathering observed a minute’s silence as a mark of respect.

The celebratory ceremony also included the proud families of the graduating students cheering them on as they reached a significant milestone, marking the culmination of their academic journey and the commencement of a new chapter in their lives. The event saw students being awarded for their outstanding academic achievements, as well as for showcasing leadership skills and empathy towards society, aligning with TAPMI’s core values.

With 100% placement across courses, TAPMI’s graduating batch of 2022-2024 have secured placement offers from reputed companies including Accenture, Nomura, Cognizant Technologies, TATA Capital, Adani, Deloitte, Infosys, HDFC, ITC, Titan, and Axis Bank, J P Morgan Chase to name a few.
