Tour Circuit Announced to Commemorate the Mahaparinirvan Din of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar

Mumbai, 29 November: To mark the occasion of the Mahaparinirvan Din of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Directorate of Tourism, under the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Maharashtra, has organised the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Tour Circuit on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December 2025. This tour will be free of cost for tourists and followers visiting Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai. The primary motive of this initiative is to apprise tourists from all walks of life, as well as the younger generation, about the monumental work, life, and thoughts of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Tour Circuit includes visits to Chaityabhoomi, Rajgruha, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Economics & Commerce (Wadala), Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan, BIT Chawl in Parel, and Siddharth College at Fort. Through this tour circuit, the Government is keen to present before citizens and tourists the significant locations sanctified by the footsteps of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, as well as the inspiring journey of his life. It also aims to highlight his invaluable contributions towards social equality, education, and the creation of the Constitution. All citizens and tourists are earnestly invited to be a part of the tour circuit.

Three buses will depart daily as part of the scheduled tour, and seats will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Directorate of Tourism, under the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Maharashtra, will provide complimentary travel, tour guides, refreshments, and other essential facilities, supported by thoughtful planning to ensure an enriching and memorable experience for all participants.

The tour will be formally inaugurated on 3 December 2025 at 9:30 AM at Veer Savarkar National Memorial, opposite Ganpati Temple, Shivaji Park, Dadar (W), Mumbai. The tour will commence from Chaityabhoomi, Dadar (W), Mumbai, at 9:30 AM and conclude at the same location.
