[New Delhi] – [August 25, 2025] – TP in India, part of global digital business services leader TP (formerly Teleperformance), today unveiled the far-reaching impact of its community initiatives in India through its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR). So far in 2025, CSR initiatives implemented by TP in India have benefited over 38,300 beneficiaries across 12 states and 21 cities, and more than 7,600 volunteer hours were contributed by over 3,800 TP volunteers, with CSR programs continuing to champion inclusion, social responsibility and environmental sustainability in India.
Changing lives through a dual-focused CSR framework
At the heart of TP’s CSR efforts are two global flagship programs: Citizen of the World (COTW) and Citizen of the Planet (COTP), which drive social inclusion, education, employability, and environmental responsibility across global operations holistically. TP continues to be a strong proponent of making the world a better place for all, contributing toward these causes.
Citizen of the World (COTW): Bridging education and livelihood
Since its inception in 2006, TP’s COTW program has focused on transforming lives for vulnerable children and families worldwide through education, digital literacy, and skills training. In India, COTW has empowered students, women, and underserved youth through career-focused education, digital engagement, remedial learning, life skills, mentorship, and infrastructure support, that ensure long-term, sustainable change. This is done by championing transformative education and skill development initiatives to bridge the gap between education and livelihood in both urban and rural communities.
TP’s strategic partnerships with grassroots implementation partners have ensured tailored, high-impact interventions in urban and rural areas alike. These customized learning programs and facilities help address systemic barriers and advance gender equality. The company’s women empowerment initiatives remain particularly impactful, enabling freedom from social and economic discrimination.
Key COTW initiatives in India encompass empowering children and families through education, including holistic education centers supporting 9,000+ underprivileged and women across 20 locations, school infrastructure upgrades and skill development for 1,150+ students, and a mid-day meal program benefiting 26,000+. TP in India is also instrumental in providing digital literacy for 400+ individuals with disabilities; as well as residential care and training for 200 differently abled individuals. Infrastructure and renovation projects include a 3-year transformation across 20 centers in seven states, including schools, learning centers, and homes for the disabled and elderly.
Citizen of the Planet (COTP): Action for a sustainable future
Launched in 2008, COTP reflects TP’s early commitment to environmental stewardship. In India, TP employees actively contribute to programs to help save our planet through climate action, carbon footprint reduction, and environmental education. These efforts aim to safeguard natural resources and ensure that future generations inherit a healthier, greener planet
TP is also actively accelerating its renewable energy transition in India, strongly focusing on captive solar plants and green energy procurement. The focus is on prioritizing, green-certified buildings, e.g. India Green Building Council (IGBC) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), with advanced energy management systems, and implementing energy reduction initiatives, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) optimization, and energy-efficient appliances to reduce overall consumption. Moreover, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) program for CO2 reduction is aligned with the 1.5°C scenario.

TP’s global and India-specific initiatives continue to earn industry-wide recognition:
