Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther Survive the Ultimate Test of Betrayal to Win Season 1 of Prime Video’s The Traitors

Mumbai, India—July 4, 2025—Prime Video, India’s most-loved entertainment destination, dropped the finale episode of its  biggest reality series, The Traitors, which premiered on June 12. After nine captivating episodes filled with deception, betrayals, and shocking eliminations, the finale delivered a jaw-dropping payoff as Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther emerged victorious—proving that even innocents can win a game built on Dhokha. Claiming the coveted title and a large cash prize, the duo outwitted the Traitors with a powerful mix of instinct and strategy. Hosted by Karan Johar and filmed at the stunning Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, the finale capped off a thrilling season filled with explosive confrontations, evolving alliances, and edge-of-the-seat gameplay.

Collaborating with leading independent distributor All3Media International for the local adaptation of IDTV’s BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning global format that is produced by BBC Studios India Productions, The Traitors brought together 20 celebrity players, including Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, and Uorfi Javed, who signed up for a game where trust was a trap and betrayal the ultimate strategy.

From its highly-anticipated trailer launch, which promised a reality format like no other, to week-on-week drama that dominated social media timelines and fan theories, the series quickly became a pop culture juggernaut. Across missions that tested mental strength, loyalty, and perception, the game witnessed fiery exits, breakdowns, and strategic masterstrokes that redefined unscripted entertainment in India.

Host Karan Johar, who led the season with his signature wit and charm, shared his thoughts on the finale, “The Traitors was everything we hoped it would be—explosive, emotional, totally unpredictable, and wildly entertaining. Watching the players navigate betrayal, strategy, and sheer instinct has been a masterclass in human psychology. Uorfi and Nikita may come from different worlds, but together, they cracked the game’s biggest question—who can you trust when trust is the only currency? Their win wasn’t just well-deserved—it was, honestly, iconic.”

Uorfi Javed, who emerged as a fierce player in the final weeks reacting to the victory of the innocents, said, “The Traitors was the wildest rollercoaster I’ve ever been on—emotionally, psychologically, and physically draining in every way possible. It made me question everything and everyone, and yet somehow still helped me find my strength. People saw me as the wild card, the chaos—but I brought heart, instincts, and honesty to the game. I wasn’t pretending, I wasn’t playing safe, and I definitely wasn’t backing down. Winning The Traitors isn’t just about surviving—it’s about standing in a room full of betrayal and still being unafraid to speak my truth. Together, Nikita and I unmasked and beat the traitors at their own game.”

Nikita Luther, a professional poker player who stayed calm under pressure throughout, added, “I came into The Traitors with a strategy rooted in logic and people-reading, but this game throws curveballs no one can prepare for. The twists and turns are constant, and the only way to survive is to keep adapting. There were moments when it felt like I was one decision away from being out of the game, but Uorfi and I held the line. I adapted my strategy at every step of the way and played with logic and not purely emotion. This win is not just about beating the traitors, it is about proving that calm, steady gameplay with foresight still wins in the end.”
