World organ Donation Day – 13th August 2025 On World Organ Donation Day, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road Launches Month-Long Awareness Drive Over 5,000 Citizens Educated on the Importance of Organ Donation

Mumbai – On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day (August 13), Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road, conducted a month-long organ donation awareness campaign from July 11 to August 13.

Under this initiative, awareness sessions were organized in schools, colleges, and corporate offices across Mira Road, Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar and various parts of Mumbai. Through health lectures, interactive sessions, informative brochures, and real-life testimonials, the message of organ donation reached more than 5,000 people.

Many students and corporate employees responded positively, pledging to consider organ donation in the future. Organ donation has the potential to save thousands of lives every year, and Wockhardt Hospitals has embraced the responsibility of fostering public awareness to encourage more individuals to pledge.

Dr. Sushil Kumar, Centre Head of Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road, said:”We are already seeing tangible results from this campaign.
