India’s Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector is far more than a support system — it is the heartbeat of the nation’s economy, empowering millions across rural and urban India. As the country charts its path towards becoming a leading global economy, the MSME sector remains the driving force behind grassroots innovation, employment generation, and inclusive growth. Recognising the vital role these enterprises play in building a self-reliant and prosperous Bharat, Z Bharat hosted the high-impact ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ MSME Conclave at the iconic Bharat Mandapam on 16th June 2025.
The ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ conclave honoured India’s unsung economic heroes and changemakers, bringing together an influential gathering of policymakers, visionary entrepreneurs, sectoral experts, and institutional leaders for a transformative day of insight, celebration, and national resolve. Gracing the conclave were several distinguished Union Ministers including Nitin Gadkari (Minister of Road Transport & Highways), Jitan Ram Manjhi (Minister for MSME), Jual Oram (Minister of Tribal Affairs), Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel (MoS for Animal Husbandry & Panchayati Raj), Harsh Malhotra (MoS for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport), Santosh Kumar Suman (Minister of State for Water, Bihar), and Syed Shahnawaz Hussain (National BJP Spokesperson ). The presence of these leaders highlighted the Centre’s ongoing commitment to policy reform, digitalisation, and driving economic growth.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari unveiled a transformative vision for India’s infrastructure revival, highlighting the resolution of ₹3.85 lakh crore worth of stalled projects and the launch of high-speed expressways including the Delhi–Dehradun corridor. He announced a ₹40,000 crore national mission to eliminate accident-prone road black spots, reinforcing the government’s focus on speed, safety, and efficiency. MSME Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi emphasized that over 6 crore MSMEs across India are responsible for creating 28 crore jobs, serving as the backbone of India’s employment and economic resilience. Harsh Malhotra hailed the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system for reaching 140 crore beneficiaries and saving ₹3.5 lakh crore across 200 schemes while also reducing company registration timelines from 350 days to just 3–4.
Former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain spotlighted Bihar’s transformation through the rise of ethanol production units, mega food parks, and a growing aviation sector. He emphasized that Bihar is shedding stereotypes and becoming a powerful player in India’s development. Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, MoS for Animal Husbandry and Panchayati Raj, emotionally described how schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Ayushman Bharat are making villagers feel seen, respected, and secure. He praised Prime Minister Modi’s 11 years of clean governance as the moral compass behind India’s rapid growth in sectors such as dairy, meat, and rural infrastructure.
The ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ conclave served as a platform for robust panel discussions on sectors driving the next chapter of India’s growth — from sustainable construction and UPVC modular furniture to rural manufacturing, agri-tech, FMCG, and smart innovations. Entrepreneurs across the country shared real-world stories of using drone technology, paperless documentation, and eco-conscious practices to scale impact and efficiency. Special focus was given to India’s manufacturing sector, which contributes 17% to the national GDP, and the need to invest in skill development and local enterprise to realise the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Speaking on the editorial commitment behind the initiative, Mr. Santosh Kumar, Editor of Z Bharat, said, “Z Bharat has always stood for a Bharat that builds itself from the grassroots. ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ is our editorial pledge to honour the visionaries who power the real economy. India’s MSME sector is not just contributing to GDP — it is redefining resilience, creating livelihoods, and laying the foundation for the India of tomorrow.”
Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Karan Abhishek Singh, CEO of Zee Media Corporation Limited, added, “At Z Media, we believe in journalism that goes beyond headlines. ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ is our tribute to the people who are building a new India — with innovation, efficiency, and determination. MSMEs are the heart of our economy, and we will continue to support their journey with platforms that inform, empower, and celebrate.”
As India’s MSMEs embrace digital transformation, sustainability, and scalable innovation, the conclave reaffirmed that the nation’s journey to becoming the third-largest global economy will be shaped not just by large corporations, but by the grassroots entrepreneurs fueling progress across every corner of Bharat. This landmark conclave was made possible through the support of visionary partners who share Z Bharat’s commitment to driving meaningful impact. ‘Bharat Ki Udaan’ was co-powered by Servokon (Power & Solar Control Manufacturers), Fine (Switches to Style), Figo India, and SAGE University (Indore), with special partnership from SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (Kanpur), Marmi Klassik, U.P.
