3 minutes 30 seconds awareness film urges youngsters to act on early heart symptoms before it’s too late
Mumbai, September 29, 2025: On the occasion of World Heart Day, Zynova Shalby Hospital unveiled a unique awareness initiative, ‘Don’t Miss a Beat’, aimed at sensitizing people about the growing threat of heart disease, particularly among the younger population.
The highlight of the campaign is a 3-minute 30-second digital awareness film, dramatising how neglecting even the smallest signs of heart-related symptoms can have fatal consequences. The film urges viewers to “listen to their heart” and take timely medical action, reinforcing the message that early intervention saves lives.
“Heart problems are no longer confined to the elderly. Increasingly, people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s are being diagnosed with serious conditions such as heart attacks, arrhythmias, and hypertension,” said Dr Abhilash Mishra, Cardiologist, Zynova Shalby Hospital. “What worries us most is that early warning signs, chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, or dizziness, are often dismissed as trivial. By the time patients seek help, the situation is already critical. This campaign is an eye-opener, especially for youngsters, who must understand that lifestyle choices made today will decide the health of their heart tomorrow.”
The hospital’s leadership emphasized the urgency of this movement. Reny Varghese, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Zynova Shalby Hospital, said: “This initiative is much needed at a time when even children are spending hours on devices and leading sedentary lives. With ‘Don’t Miss a Beat’, we are taking the conversation to digital platforms where young people are most active. The campaign includes contests, expert-led videos, and awareness sessions to help people recognize early warning signs and adopt preventive lifestyle habits. Our goal is to spark a long-term behavioral change, not just for a day, but for life.”
Partnering with Zynova Shalby Hospital on this campaign, Vishal Pardeshi, Business Head, GC Digital, underlined the thinking behind the initiative: “The younger generation lives online, so that’s where awareness has to begin. With ‘Don’t Miss a Beat’, we wanted to build on the global theme but add a Zynova lens. The heart gives signs at every age, yet we often dismiss them, sugar for kids, energy drinks and late nights for teens, smoking and drinking for young adults, sedentary hours and processed food for professionals. These everyday choices shape heart health long before we notice. We aimed to turn those ignored moments into relatable stories, making the message universal, personal, and a reminder that it’s never too early or too late to listen.”
The campaign will continue beyond World Heart Day with a series of social media activations, community outreach programs, and educational sessions, ensuring the message of heart health remains alive throughout the year.
