28th April 2026: TELUS Digital, a global leader in CX and AI-powered digital solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), one of India’s premier engineering and research institutions. The collaboration aims to advance applied research, accelerate innovation in emerging technologies, and nurture the next generation of future-ready digital talent.
Speaking during the MoU signing, Parag Vishnoi, Global Vice President, Digital Services at TELUS Digital, said, ‘’IIT Roorkee is one of India’s foremost institutions in research and technology. This collaboration enables us to bridge deep academic expertise with real-world transformation at scale. Together, we will accelerate innovation in AI and digital engineering while building a talent ecosystem equipped to lead in an increasingly dynamic global landscape.’’
Prof. K.K. Pant, Director of IIT Roorkee, stated, “We are pleased to partner with TELUS Digital in strengthening the connection between academic research and industry application. This engagement will provide our students and researchers with valuable exposure to real-world challenges in emerging technology domains, helping them build the skills required to lead in a rapidly evolving digital economy.”
Additionally, Kapil Uniyal, Vice President, APAC & Australia, Digital Solutions at TELUS Digital, will serve as the executive sponsor for campus engagement in India. The partnership will help accelerate innovation while strengthening TELUS Digital’s access to top-tier engineering talent.
As part of this partnership, IIT Roorkee students will be able to access opportunities through internships, mentorship initiatives, guest lectures, workshops, and career pathways. By connecting students with industry practitioners and live transformation programs, the collaboration seeks to prepare graduates for the demands of a global digital economy.
Recently, Parag Vishnoi, who is also an alumnus of IIT Roorkee, was invited as the Chief Guest to participate in Annual Career Odyssey – COMET’26, the institute’s flagship career and leadership event that took place on April 9–10, 2026. His participation reflects TELUS Digital’s commitment to engaging deeply with leading academic institutions and building strong connections with emerging technology talent. He emphasized with the students that career growth is driven by curiosity, impact, and a strong sense of collaboration.
Members of the TELUS Digital team engaged extensively with the students around the emerging industry trends and future of work. Senior leaders from the company attended the occasion, including Kapil Uniyal, Vice President APACA, Aleksander R.
