Kazam recognised as part of Startup Policy Forum’s #100DesiDeepTechs

Featured in the “Clean Tech and Energy” category alongside India’s leading deeptech innovators

India, 26 May 2026: Kazam, one of India’s leading EV charging and energy-tech platforms, has been selected as part of the Startup Policy Forum’s first #100DesiDeepTechs list, a nation-building initiative with MeitY Startup Hub, Startup India (DPIIT) and IIT Madras, recognising the deeptech startups shaping India’s deeptech future.

The Startup Policy Forum’s list brings together organisations working to solve real-world challenges through thoughtful, scalable solutions. The cohort spans 10 sub-sectors: Advanced Manufacturing, Cleantech, Biotech & Healthtech, Drones & Aerospace, Semiconductors, Space Tech, Defence Tech, Electric Vehicles, Robotics, and Quantum Tech.

Kazam’s recognition in the Clean Tech and Energy category reflects its growing role in strengthening India’s electric mobility ecosystem through accessible EV charging infrastructure, intelligent energy management, and software-led mobility solutions. The company currently powers more than 200,000 integrated chargers across India through its connected EV charging and energy-management platform.

Commenting on the recognition, Akshay Shekhar, Co-Founder & CEO, Kazam said, “It feels great to be recognised by Startup Policy Forum alongside organisations driving meaningful innovation. At a time when India’s power demand is reaching new highs, the need for smarter and more efficient energy systems has never been greater. Being part of this cohort reinforces the importance of building energy infrastructure that can support the country’s rapidly evolving mobility ecosystem. We also see this as an opportunity to contribute to conversations that shape policies and strengthen the country’s EV ecosystem through collaborations with stakeholders across businesses, fleets and OEMs.”

Through the initiative, participating startups will contribute policy recommendations and engage with policymakers to help strengthen India’s deeptech ecosystem and global competitiveness.
