All the five expressions entered at The World Whisky Masters 2026 have won record 5 Gold medals thus being the only Indian distiller to achieve this.
Coming just weeks after the brand’s Madhuca Heritage Editions dominant top three ranking performance at IWSC UK 2026, the latest recognition reinforces the consistency of the South Seas portfolio across two of the world’s most respected whisky competitions.

The achievement comes close on the heels of the South Seas Distilleries portfolio’s exceptional showing at IWSC UK 2026, where Crazy Cock Indian Single Malt Madhuca III emerged as the highest-ranked Indian single malt with a Gold medal, while the three Crazy Cock Madhuca editions secured the top three Indian whisky rankings. The portfolio also accounted for five of the 10 medals awarded to Indian single malts at the competition, underscoring the breadth and consistency of its craftsmanship.
The World Whisky Masters is among the industry’s most respected blind-tasting competitions, judged by an independent panel of international whisky experts who evaluate entries solely on quality, craftsmanship and character.
Together, the IWSC UK and World Whisky Masters results across two independent international competitions judged by different panels of experts, every Crazy Cock expression entered has been recognized and awarded.
Among the standout expressions, Crazy Cock Indian Single Malt Madhuca I earned praise from the judging panel for its “creamy buttery nose” with notes of toasted pecan, dried fruits and Medjool dates, with one judge summing it up simply as “delicious.”
Crazy Cock Madhuca is also the first single malt whisky in the world to be finished in Mahura casks. With a legacy of more than a century since 1922, South Seas is a pioneer in India’s oak cask maturation and matured India’s oldest spirit-Mahura along with the finest single malt.
