Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited Achieves All-Time High Single-Day Cargo Handling of 1,32,800 MT, Driven by Mechanization and Efficiency

Nellore: 03rd December, 2025: Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL), a flagship asset of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited (APSEZ), announced a historic milestone in cargo operations, handling its highest-ever single-day cargo volume of 1,32,800 Metric Tonnes (MT). This achievement surpasses the previous record of 1,31,966 MT, highlighting the port’s continuous drive for operational excellence and efficiency.

The new record was achieved through the collaborative effort of the port’s operations, logistics, and engineering teams, underpinned by its advanced mechanized systems. AKPL also records its highest-ever monthly fertilizer cargo, reinforcing its role as a key gateway for agricultural imports and operational excellence.

Key Milestones Achieved:

* Single-Day Cargo Record: 1,32,800 MT handled.

* Highest Monthly Fertilizer Cargo: 0.43 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) handled, significantly exceeding the previous record of 0.36 MMT achieved.

AKPL’s state-of-the-art Automated Fertilizer Handling System ensured quick turnaround times for vessels, enabling fertilizers to reach farmers promptly. The port’s superior rail and road connectivity further facilitated seamless nationwide distribution, supporting initiatives by the Government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh to empower the farming community.
