666-666-6666 – This is said to have been active in the United States. As many of you may be aware, the 666 number is associated with the devil. Some callers also reported a woman whispering the words that “you’re going to die.” Some callers also used this number to summon the devil.
1-000-000-0000 – It was believed that calling this number in the United States made every phone in your own home ring all at once. Even the ones that were not connected. This was likely a fictional haunted number, but still scary to hear the story.
0888-888-888 – This is a real documented case that occurred in Bulgaria. It is reported that all the people who owned this number died in mysterious circumstances. Examples include causes like accidents, cancer and mob hits. The company eventually had to terminate this number, since no one was willing to use it.
20202020 – This is one of the haunted numbers from Egypt, which is likely to be fictional and created just for fun. It was spread via SMS chain messages. As per the message, anyone getting a call from this number would be visited by a girl named ‘Mariam’. The girl will then go on to kill the receiver of the call.
999-9999 – Known in Thailand and Japan, it was believed that calling this number could get one kidnapped. Not only that, the caller may also be tortured and the video would be livestreamed. This seems like yet another example of fictional haunted numbers.
555-0101 to 555-0150 – In Japan, this number is associated with the Sadako’s curse numbers, derived from the ‘Ring’ (Ringu) movie franchise. Any number in this range that rings seven times means that Sadako will come out of your TV in seven days.
1-216-333-1810 – This is a real phone number from Ohio, United States. When you call this number, you will hear an eerie phone tree with distorted voices. You will hear crying and references to the ‘Kirby Cullen’ murders. It can really be bone chilling if you call this number in the dead of the night.
407-734-0254 – Active in Florida, USA, this number is referred to as the ‘Boothworld Industries’ number. When you call, you will hear a welcome note saying your membership to Boothworld Industries is approved. You will also be told about the date and time when the remodeling begins. In some cases, you might also get a call back from a real human.
