How To Know If Your Partner Is Cheating On You

While it’s important to trust your partner, you cannot afford to be in the dark. You have every right to know how things are unfolding around you. You should also not feel guilty if you suspect that your partner is cheating on you. You should instead try to find the truth. It’s better to face reality rather than being stuck in a negative relationship. Here are some signs that will indicate that your partner may be cheating on you.

More concerned about appearance: If your partner is making extra efforts to look good when going out (as compared to earlier times), it can be a sign that they are trying to appearattractive in front of someone else. Using a costly perfume, getting a new haircut, wearing new underwear, etc. can indicate towards a possibleaffair.

Secretive use of phone / computer: If your partner has recently started protecting their phone/computer with a password and are unwilling to share the same with you, it may not be a good development for your relationship. Things could be even more worrying if your partner starts using these devices in a hush-hush manner. Things like deleting texts, clearing browsing history every day, taking the phone to the bathroom, etc. can be signs of trouble.

Change in sex routines: If your partner is cheating on you, the frequency of sex may go down or increase. Less sex may happen as your partner may be thinking about someone else. More sex can also occur, if your partner is trying to cover up their outside relationship. If you notice your partner employing new approaches and techniques to sex, it is possible that they are learning it from someone else.

Frequently unreachable: If your partner is often unreachable on the phone or doesn’t respond to your calls or texts, it could indicate a potential outside relationship. Unplanned meetings and business trips can also be a bad sign.

Unexplained expenses: Infidelity can be expensive, as money is often spent on gifts, food, wine and hotel rooms. If your partner’s credit card bills are rising or bank accounts are suddenly low on cash, it could be a sign of infidelity.

There can always be exceptions, so do not take any hasty decisions. You can simply share your thoughts with your partner and try to sort out things. Be aware that wrong accusations can spell trouble for your relationship. However, open discussions are always welcome. If you guys share strong bonds, some mistakes can always be forgiven. If not, it would be better to move on.
