Krishna Pratap Singh is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Lok Sabha constituency of Jaunpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Krishna Pratap Singh defeated his nearest rival Subhash Pandey of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) by a margin of more than 1,45,000 votes. Throughout his political career, Singh has focused on special initiatives that seek overall development of the poor, backward, deprived and lower sections of the society. He has also worked on projects that seek to provide opportunities in education and sports to children belonging to poor families.
Early Life and Education
Krishna Pratap Singh was born on February 9, 1977 to Shri Umanath Singh and Smt. Susheela Singh. He was born in Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh. His educational qualifications include Ph.D. and he received his education from T.D.P.G. College, Jaunpur and Purwanchal University Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. He married Reena Singh on November 23, 2005.

Personal Pursuits
Krishna Pratap Singh has interests in agriculture, gardening and social service. In his free time, Singh likes to read quality literature and engage in some sports as well. One of his favorite sports is cricket. He has also contributed towards promoting cricket among the youth by regularly organizing cricket tournaments.
