Things To Avoid After Sex

Sex is a wonderful thing, but it can also lead to diseases and infections. This is especially true when you don’t follow hygieneinstructions after sex. To ensure that your most pleasurableexperiences remain that way, here are some things you need to avoid after sex.

Not washing up: Many people tend to doze off soon after sex, which is not a good practice. During sex, there’s a lot of fluid exchange, which comprises various harmful microorganisms. It is recommended that people should clean up after sex to avoid infections and other diseases. If a hot shower is not possible, at least the genital area should be properly washed with water. This is applicable to both men and women.

Vaginal douching: Some women practice vaginal douching with water or chemical-based products, thinking that it will keep them safe from infections. However, this is not true, as vaginal douching with harsh chemicals can disturb the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina. There is no need to clean the insides with chemicals, as the body knows how to take care of itself. Even a mild smell is considered normal and should not be a reason for worry.

Not emptying your bladder: A round of sex works as an effective sleeping pill, so people just doze off and avoid going to the bathroom. Not emptying your bladder after sex can lead to infections such as UTI (Urinary Tract Infections). Peeing after sex helps, as germs that may have entered during sex will be flushed out. This applies to both men and women.

Not drinking water: A passionate round of sex can make you sweaty, requiring you to replenish the fluid loss. However, many people tend to ignore this, which can make you dehydrated. This in turn can increase the risk of infection. To avoid such issues, make sure you drink some water after sex. This will hydrate your body and promote the natural cycle of peeing that will flush out dangerous microorganisms.

Wearing tight clothes:Microorganisms such as bacteria and fungus thrive in moist places, which is why you should avoid wearing tight clothes after sex. The best way is to wear nothing at all after sex, but if that is not possible, you can wear undergarments made from cotton. Make sure it’s not tight and does not trap moisture from perspiration.

With these steps, you can keep yourself protected from infections and diseases resulting from sexual intercourse. These guidelines become even more important when you are having sex with multiple partners.
